Description
The property is in the rolling foothills below Greenhorn Mountain and just a few miles from the National
Forest. There is an access easement for 1/2 mile to BLM Land and you can drive an ATV there and
according to the Forest Service, you can drive on that federal land all the way to the edge of the National
Forest.
There is abundant wildlife with deer, pronghorn antelope and small animals frequenting the property. There
are likely to be elk and wild turkeys on occasion as well as black bear, all of which are abundant in the
national forest. I took a picture of these Turkeys a few miles from the property.
The terrain is rolling meadow with scattered bushes and a couple of large washes running across the property.
The views are spectacular of the mountains a short distance to the west and of the plains to the east.
Two wells are allowed (one on each lot) and the water can be used for household purposes as well as for
livestock, horses, and watering gardens and trees.
The nearest town of Walsenburg is about 12 miles to the south and Pueblo is about 30 miles to the northeast
of here.
